Hello, my name is Annamaria
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in both New York, USA and Athens, Greece.
Born and raised in New Jersey, I moved to NYC to pursue my career in dietetics. I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition. I completed a 1 year clinical residency in various healthcare settings before sitting for the National RD Exam.
Being of Greek descent and having spent many summers in the Mediterranean, I fell in love with the true value of food as nourishment for the body and mind.
My approach to nutrition is evidence-based and holistic,
looking at all modifiable lifestyle factors that affect our health and wellbeing: nutrition, hydration, exercise, stress, behavioral and environmental obstacles.
I help my clients establish sustainable healthy habits while unlearning food rules from years of misinformed dieting. Sustainable nutrition requires a balance between physical and mental health, after all.
In addition to general health and wellness, I specialize in weight management, sports nutrition, chronic disease prevention and management, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health.
